Our organization recently held a fundraising activity to build a center. Some of the activities included cook-offs and music concerts where people chipped in. However, we were still short of cash and we did not have time to hold any more fundraising activities. The construction had a schedule and we needed to make it in time.

We, the organizers gathered around to see what we can do about the shortage, and one of the ladies suggested selling silver. So we gathered what we can and the next day, we had old silver coins. I was surprised that those can be sold; one of them even told me that one of the coins in the lot can be worth $50. They contacted a jeweler who accepts coins too. I wondered why, so I asked them about it. They said one of the organizers sold a few pieces to the jeweler before, and he was really happy with the amount he received.

They sent a kit to the dealer, and the next day a check arrived for the pieces we sent. I have no idea how much coins are worth, so I was so surprised with the amount we got! Now the construction is well under way. If I happen to sell old silver dollar for any reason, I’ll make sure to deal with this jeweler.
