I attended a benefit auction with my parents last year and bought some things that I never expected to. I only agreed to go with them, because I knew that there would be great food there. I think they probably served the best prime rib, I have ever tasted.

When the auctioneer started the bidding, I just sat back and watched. When he came to his tenth item, which was three used pseries servers, no one was bidding and I knew that they were worth a lot of money. I started bidding on them, and got all three for about one thousand dollars apiece.

The twentieth item to be auctioned off was a used bladecenter server which I also bid on and won for about one thousand dollars. I paid for them and took them home to resell on one of those auction sites. I ended up making twenty times the amount that I had paid for the used pseries and the used bladecenter servers.

I now attend every benefit auction that my parents invite me to, and now it is not for the food. I go to find my next great item or items to auction off. I have been able to pay off all my credit cards with the extra cash I am making.
